ANCIENT EGYPT SET – 18K YELLOW GOLD, LAPIZ LAZULI AND CULTIVATED PEARLS NECKLACE AND EARRINGS
LAPIS LAZULI was one of the first gemstones to be used in jewelry. Archeologists have found several jewels and figures made out of LAPIS LAZULI dating from thousands of years ago in the Mesopotamia, Egypt, Persia, Greece and Rome regions, and it has been recorded that LAPIS LAZULI was traded in Abraham’s homeland, the legendary city of UR, back in 4000 BC. From the metaphysical point of view, LAPIS LAZULI is the stone of friendship and truth, encouraging authenticity in attitudes and opinions.
The tradition that surrounds LAPIS LAZULI and its beautiful shade of blue has led the Artist to create a sober, elegant necklace, where the gemstone reigns absolute; enhanced only by 18K GOLD pieces shaped like the letters “SS”, with a pendant featuring a faceted LAPIS LAZULI stone in the center, which is flanked by a PEARL.
